2009 SAR Training Academy
 

The 2009 SAR Academy starts January 13th. The academy runs through May 26th, 2009.  See the link for the schedule.

Topics meet or exceed the standards set by the Oregon State Sheriff's Association. They include

• Introduction to SAR

• Incident Command

• Outdoor Survival

• Radio Procedures

• First Aid/CPR

• Map and Compass

• GPS

• Mantracking

• Search Skills

• Rescue Skills

• Crime Scene Preservation

• Helicopter Orientation

• Working with K-9 resources

• Working with Mounted Horse resources

• ATV Certification
   

Next Class: 

May 5th: Final Test, 7 pm Public Works Building, McMinnville

May 16th: Field Test 8 am

May 26th, Graduation, 7 pm Public Works Building Families Invited
